Can the Radio Galahs defend their MAIN Game title?

Castlemaine’s highly anticipated MAIN Game is back on Sunday 9th June. This fun event and major fundraiser for community radio station, 94.9 MainFM sees the Radio Galahs (MainFM on-air presenters of mixed genders and even more mixed abilities) take on the Rockatoos (local musicians and other very respectable members of the community) in an AFL friendly. The Galahs have won the last two years.

This is the MAIN Game’s fifth year, with The Thompson’s Foundry Band making their debut as the opening performance plus local all-girl supergroup, Paddock Bomb, set to play at half time. There is also the glamorous MAIN Cheer squad, food stalls, bar, coffee and face painting.

Sue McLennan, Sponsorship & Events Manager at 94.9 MainFM, said:

“We are excited that we can offer an event the whole family can enjoy, with the spectacle of the game along with live local entertainment.”

MAIN Game players are currently enduring regular training sessions under expert coaches.

Gates open at midday on Sunday 9th June at Camp Reserve, Castlemaine. The game starts at 1.30pm, with festivities wrapping up around 4:30pm. Entry is $10 for MainFM subscribers, $15 general entry, under 18s are free.
