Canberra Survey results

Canberra’s 2nd ratings survey has been released with good news for Mix 106 3, which had the highest increase, and bad news for ABC666, which had the biggest drop.

First placed in the market is FM 104.7 on 24.5%, down 1.3 from last survey, but still firmly market leader. FM104.7 picked up listeners 25-39, but lost in the older demographics.

FM104.7’s breakfast slipped by 2.7 share points to 20.6%, ahead of second placed breakfast show Mix 106.3 on 18.2% (up 3.6). ABC666’s talk breakfast show lost 4.9 share points moving to the third breakfast position on 15.6%.

Mix 106.3 was second placed overall on 19.8%, a rise of 4.2 share points with good gains in all ‘at work’ timeslots.

Third placed ABC666 dropped 3.3 share points to 12.4 after losing listeners in all 25+ demographics.

In a town where all ABC stations usually score strongly, Triple J was fourth placed on 9.2% (down 1.5), followed by ABC Classic FM, which had a very strong lift of 3.8 share points to 9.0%.

2CA was next with 6.8% (up 0.3), followed by 2CC which dropped 1.1 share points to 5.7%. 2RN scored 5.2% (down 0.5), followed by the Other FM category on 4.5% and NewsRadio on 2.0% (up 0.2).
