CanWest selling NZ radio and tv stations

CanWest Global Communications has reached a deal to sell its New Zealand radio and tv operations.

CanWest plans to pay down debt and buy back its newspaper income trust in Canada with the proceeds of its sales.

Canwest has entered into exclusive talks with HT Media to sell its 70% stake in New Zealand’s TV3 network and several radio stations.
