Carthew joins 4BC breakfast

Brisbane’s Newstalk 1116 4BC will trial a female voice on its breakfast show lineup of Peter Dick and Ross Davie starting this Monday 15 January.

Queensland media personality Victoria Carthew will initially present two sports segments, as well as “keeping an eye on Peter and Ross throughout the show.” She will also be the core of any fill-in shows whilst the regular team is on holidays.

Carthew has 17 years of experience with Channel 7 Brisbane, having initially been employed on lifestyle and children programming, and more recently within the sports department.

She has covered the last two Olympic Games, the Manchester Commonwealth Games, the Rugby World Cup and four Brisbane Lions Grand Finals.

The mother of one will continue to work with Seven on a part time basis while she shares the spotlight with the two morning boys, “I am very excited about my new role at News Talk 1116 4BC, particularly working alongside Peter Dick and Ross Davie and I am looking forward to charging headlong into 2007 with them both.”
