I have read the article at https://www.smh.com.au/business/companies/2gb-terminates-chris-smith-s-contract-after-christmas-party-incident-20221213-p5c5uq.html .

From the article...

"....Following an investigation into allegations of serious misconduct, we have today advised Chris Smith that his contract with Sky News Australia has been terminated as a result of inappropriate behaviour ...."

This is is not a comment on Chris Smith or any other person.

Rather the nature of the conduct described in the article as 'inappropriate'..

Inappropriate means unsuitable. Such conduct is not unsuitable on any occasion

Rather such conduct is UNACCEPTABLE!
