Christian voice on air in Perth Tasmania

Thanks to the effort of passionate locals, the town of Perth in Tasmania has a new Christian sound on the airwaves. Vision 87.8 FM Perth sprang to life on 26th July 2007, and is the 294th relay station in Australia’s fast-growing national Christian radio network. It is also the 23rd station in Tasmania.

‘We’re excited to offer people in Perth a really different radio choice,” says Vision Australia’s Ian Worby. “Whenever a new community is switched on, it doesn’t take long before we start hearing how locals have found that it’s engaging listening that actually makes a positive difference in their everyday life.”

Vision’s aim is ‘connecting faith to life’ and does this though a mix of vibrant, contemporary music plus positive, practical talk on real life issues – all of which works together to give hope and encouragement with Christian values at the heart.

Family issues and news feature prominently on the station, one of our most popular programs being Focus on the Family. Warby says many listeners are also fascinated by some contributors like Dr Chuck Missler who often addresses events in the Middle East.

Vision also features an hourly news service which reports current affairs through the lens of a Christian worldview.

Vision is a national Christian radio network based out of Brisbane.
