Comedy is still king in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker

Hamish & Andy continue to hold down top spot as the nation’s most popular podcast in the latest Australian Podcast Ranker, released today by Commercial Radio and Audio (CRA) and Triton Digital.

The comedy duo notched up 934,394 monthly listens.

Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime sits second, with ABC News Top Stories, Shameless and Mamamia Out Loud rounding out the top five.

ARN’s iHeart remains the top podcast publisher for the month of October.

It’s the 54th consecutive time iHeart has taken this title.

It also boasts four shows within the top ten.

During the month of October, iHeart recorded over 4.5 million listeners and 14.4 million downloads.

Among the top 10 in this month’s ranker is Casefile, which maintain its spot as the #1 true crime podcast and ranking #2 overall.

Happy Hour with Nikki & Lucy grew its audience once again, increasing by 22.9% month-on-month to a record 335,723 monthly listeners.

The Marty Sheargold Show enjoyed a dominant showing among the radio podcasts, increasing by 22.9% month-on-month.
