Community Radio’s 2 BOB’s worth helps DMG Gosford

After long delays caused by technical problems, the launch of the new commercial station on the NSW Central Coast is now in sight, thanks to the co-operation of Taree community station 2BOB FM, which will move its frequency to prevent interference.

The possibility of interference between the new Central Coast station and 2BOB, both on FM 104.5, was prevented after negotiations by the ABA.

2BOB will now move slightly to the right (moving to the right is not a happy political prospect for any community station) and occupy FM 104.7.

The new DMG station, which was bought for $13.5 million last year, is now expected to be on air in the first three months of 2004 from a new building in Erina.
