Condiments to the Chef from Nova 100

Meshel’s on air partner Tommy Little fancies himself as a bit of an inventor – the parachute that opens on impact and a hair tonic that doesn’t grow any new hair on your scalp but promises to shrink your head to fit whatever hair you have left have been less than successful.

Yet, after a string of failures, he finally seems to have come up with a winner. It’s called Mauce – an amalgam of two dietary staples,  mustard and tomato sauce, Mauce.

So impressed with this new taste sensation was global condiment giant Masterfoods, they went straight into production. “Imagine the sausage sizzle at Bunnings when you want one with sauce and mustard and with one squeeze you can have both from the same bottle!” enthused a Masterfoods  executive who couldn’t stop raving about Mauce.

Whats more, the celebrity world is already abuzz about Mauce, with Hugh Jackman specifically requesting the X-Men premiere be held in Melbourne so he could try to get his hands on a bottle.

Other EnMAUCEments have been flooding in with comedian Denise Scott, AFL Premiership Captain Luke Hodge and teen sensation Justice Crew all desperate for a part of Tommy’s success (although Tommy was very adamant that the Justice Crew only had one bottle between the six of them).

Mauce has now become the most sought after condiment in Australia and therefore will not be available for sale anywhere, disappointing major retailers worldwide.

Nova 100’s Meshel & Tommy will be distributing the bottles to listeners, after Tommy realised he doesn’t have space at home after over ordering his Gangster Mugs for the comedy festival.

Tommy says, “This is what happened with Zuckerberg when they did Facebook, a lot of people went ‘nah Myspace is already around’ and if he’d listened to all the naysayers out there he would’ve been a geek with nothing but look at him now, he’s a geek with heaps.”

After bending to public pressure, Tommy will be holding the first public tasting of Mauce at Melbourne’s Good Food and Wine Show on Friday.
