First Nations Media Australia‘s annual CONVERGE conference celebrating and showcasing the role of the First Nations media industry in amplifying the voices, stories and cultural narratives of First Nations peoples across Australia and abroad will be held next week in Canberra from Tuesday November 19 to Thursday November 21.
Day one’s focus is Digital Inclusion, with day two and three a great line up of keynotes, plenary sessions, panel forums and workshops, plus facilitated discussion groups and breakout sessions throughout the program. The First Nations Media Awards will be held at QT Canberra, 1 London Circuit, Canberra on the Thursday night.
The Digital Inclusion Forum on Day one will provide a dynamic platform for co-design and collaborative discussions relating to digital inclusion for First Nations people and communities. Government and industry leaders in telecommunications will speak about what is happening in digital inclusion in remote Australia with the day having an emphasis on reflecting and promoting First Nations perspectives in government policy and program design and implementation.
The conference will be held at the Novotel Canberra, 65 Northbourne Ave. Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided during the CONVERGE conference days.
