Darwin community station scores big promotional events

Community station 104.1 Territory FM has secured media partnerships with five of the six major events in Australia’s top end capital over the peak season.

The station will support:

* Hidden Valley V8 Supercar Series (Broadcasting trackside all weekend)

* The Darwin Festival 2009

* Territory Day Sky Show (July 1st)

* Royal Darwin Show

* Brolga Tourism NT Awards

The Darwin Festival and Territory Day Sky Show and Hidden Valley V8 Supercar Series where previously held by Darwin’s commercial operator MIX FM, but have now gone to the local community station.

General Manager Peter Perrin has told radioinfo:

“Territory FM is rapidly expanding this unique approach to greater community involvement as a commitment to localism after its license renewal last year.”
