The Commonwealth Broadcasting Association (CBA) General Conference is being held in Glasgow, Scotland between May 11th – 14th with a special presentation from Digital Radio Mondiale (DRM).
The conference is the largest global association of public service broadcasters and the Conference is a biennial forum for members from around the world.
The theme of the conference will focus on the place of music in broadcasting – exploring issues such as copyright, music policy and the debate around the use of new platforms for accessing and sharing music.
As part of the event, the DRM Consortium Chair, Ruxandra Obreja, is to make a presentation in which she will demonstrate the high sound quality of digital radio and how that creates an improved listener experience.
This year for the first time, there will be a DRM Enterprise award, given to a nominated individual or company in the Pacific Islands region who has promoted successfully, innovatively applied and actively introduced DRM in a specific market.
