Chart Highlights – 01 July 2021
- New Entry: Ed Sheeran crashes straight into the top 5 with ‘Bad Habits’ in at No. 3
- Biggest Mover: With 193% more airplay on last week Amy Shark’s ‘Worst Day Of My Life’ up 36 spots to No. 18
- Heating Up: Only 3 weeks in, Tones & I still on the way up with ‘Cloudy Day’ up 5 spots, now at No. 10
Radio is once again cheerin’ for Sheeran this week with Ed’s new single ‘Bad Habits’ in at No.3 on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart. A massive 710 spins for his first week. Another swap for Doja Cat Feat. SZA and Justin Bieber Feat. Daniel Caesar & Giveon, with ‘Peaches’ back to No. 2 and ‘Kiss Me More’ taking the crown with 807 spins, once again our No. 1.
While SAFM Adelaide were showing the most consistent airplay for Amy Shark’s ‘Worst Day Of My Life’ last week, her days are looking up with spins increasing all over the country. KIIS Melbourne & Sydney lead the way with 33 & 32 spins, B105 in Brisbane on board with 26 and now getting love on Triple J, Hot Tomato and Perth’s Mix 94.5.
Amy is not the only home grown hit maker getting support this week and while Vance Joy might be down slightly with 13 less spins on last week, ‘Missing Piece’ still confidently in the top 10 with 664 spins at No. 6. Meanwhile Tones & Igarnered 37.4% more airplay up to No. 10 with spins now in every daypart. Nova led the way last week but now overtaken by the KIIS and Hit networks.
Nova are however all in on Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Good For You’ averaging 48 spins in all markets. KIIS not far behind, Triple J and KROCK in Geelong giving the track 13 and 16 spins, both up from last week.
