Ed Sheeran’s ‘Visiting Hours’ drops in to the chart at No. 27: AirCheck

Ed Sheeran debuts at No. 27 on the latest AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart with new cut ‘Visiting Hours’, written in memory of late Australian music legend Michael Gudinski. KIIS premiered the song on Nights show Mitch to Midnight, while SCA‘s 104.1 2DAYFM and SAFM added more spins than any other station (17 each). Overall, the Hit Network accounted for 47.7% of the track’s 258 spins.

The UK hitmaker recently spent four weeks atop the airplay chart with his hit single ‘Bad Habits’, debuting at No. 3 in June. With 1001 spins this week, it currently holds steady at No. 2 behind chart leader Jolyon Petch, whose single ‘Dreams’ posts its fourth consecutive week at No. 1.  

Another heavy hitter makes a statement on this week’s chart. Shawn Mendes bows at No. 32 with his latest single ‘Summer Of Love’ alongside Tainy. KIIS Sydney and Melbourne led the way with a combined tally of 58 spins. Nova also pitched in with an average of 25.2 spins across all five metro markets.   

Elton John & Dua Lipa bolstered their airplay by +126.5% over the last seven days, sending ‘Cold Heart (Remix)’ comfortably into the Top 10 at No. 6, up 17 spots. Its presence grew nationally across all dayparts, particularly in provincial markets such as Canberra, Central Coast and Newcastle.
