With that intro from Ben Fordham, an emotional tribute went to air as Ray Hadley presented his last on-air shift as Mornings host on Sydney’s 2GB.

The tear-jerking segment – which covered Hadley’s radio career from go to whoa – featured a snippet of his mother’s voice.

Hadley – who announced his impending retirement last month – leaves on a winning note, reclaiming his title as Sydney’s #1 Mornings host in GfK Survey 8.

Mark Levy will take over 2GB Mornings in 2025.
