The ABC has hired John Howard’s former broadcasting policy adviser, Gary Dawson, in the key role of Manager of Business Strategy and Government Policy.

From next week, Dawson will work on the national broadcaster’s stance on Government digital radio and TV policy, changes to cross media ownership laws and a funding review.
