Mark Fine was approached a year ago about a return to SEN 1116am where he had hosted a post AFL game and evening show Finey’s Final Siren for a decade. At the time running his small business, he owns a deli, and being on top of everything happening in the AFL, was incompatible.
A couple of weeks ago SEN 1116am celebrated its 20th birthday with Fine, and a host of past presenters, stopping in throughout a special breakfast program. Somewhere in there the question must have been asked again, and this time Fine said yes.
SEN Director of Sport Julian Bayard said:
“We can’t wait to have Finey’s Final Siren back on SEN 1116am airwaves. Finey’s unmatched passion for footy and his entertaining flair will make Friday nights even more special for our listeners.
The real-time fan dialogue – sharing in joy and frustration – made his show a cultural mainstay. Now, a new generation of footy fans can join those memorable call-ins each weekend to partake in the beloved Finey’s Final Siren ritual.”

‘”I’m thrilled to be back on SEN 1116am doing the program I loved most, Finey’s Final Siren. There’s nothing like talkback with passionate footy fans straight after the game, so as strange as it sounds, bring on Round 0, call in and let’s all have a crack!”
Finey’s Final Siren will air on Friday nights, from 11pm till 1am, during the AFL Season, with a blend of insights, post game reaction, entertainment, and talkback.
