Melbourne community station 3ZZZ is reflecting on what it means to be a volunteer broadcaster with the series Radio for the Community! Spoken Histories From 3ZZZ.

The first episode features station President George Salloum discussing with host Maram Ismail the nature of volunteering, challenges and opportunities for the sector. The series is created to celebrate the impact of 3ZZZ, the people they represent, increasing diversity in community media, benefits of multiculturalism, sacrifices made by new migrants in Australia, and the positive outcomes of volunteering in community radio.
