Fitzy, Wippa & Kate’s Backyard Cricket returns to Kirribilli House

Cricket returns to the lawns of Kirribilli House on Tuesday July 21 with Nova‘s Fitzy, Wippa & Kate, announcing the return of their annual game.

Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfli go head-to-head as team captains with some help from sporting stars, entertainment personalities and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, all wearing the now legendary ‘baggy red’.

Since launching in 2018, Backyard Cricket has became a beloved annual tradition of Nova’s Sydney Breakfast show. Now with Fitzy, Wippa & Kate on National Drive, this year’s match is bigger than ever with Aussie kids from around the country getting the chance to win a spot in the match and take the field alongside some of Australia’s biggest names, thanks to MILO.

The event will be raising funds for Full Stop Australia, support victim-survivors from crisis to recovery, push for reform and encourage communities to become safer spaces for everyone, and Batyr Australia, who work to create stigma-free communities that champion youth mental health and wellbeing.

Over the next few weeks, Fitzy, Wippa & Kate will have further details on their team’s 11 and how listeners can get involved plus the boys will further compete to try and get Kate Ritchie to join their respective team.

Fitzy, Wippa & Kate can be heard from 4pm nationally on the Nova Network or via the daily podcast.
