For a fifth consecutive year, FIVEaa are proud to be holding Radiothon for Variety, the Children’s Charity of South Australia, tomorrow, Friday 31st May.
From 7am until 6pm, the FIVEaa announcers will be working towards raising much needed funds for South Australian children who are sick, disadvantaged or who have special needs.
This year FIVEaa are supporting Variety by raising funds to support making school camp a reality for all kids, regardless of their challenges, by upgrading the Douglas Scrub Campsite at Blewitt Springs to make it accessible to all kids.
The day is kicking off with FIVEaa Breakfast with David & Will broadcasting live from 6am from the Westpac Plaza, 91 King William Street and then, from 9am, FIVEaa are back at the station all across the day until 6pm.
The FIVEaa Radiothon will give people the opportunity to bid on items live on air including an Australian Outdoor Living Swimming Pool package worth more than $40,000, as well an outdoor kitchen package thanks to Adelaide Outdoor Kitchens and a Showdown experience.
The day also gives listeners the opportunity to open their hearts and donate to this worthwhile charity.
Variety CEO Mark McGill said, “We are so very grateful to all the team at FIVEaa for their ongoing generosity in providing an amazing platform to inspire community support for all children in need in our state.”
FIVEaa Station Manager, Craig Munn, says, “Once again, we are thrilled and so very proud be able to get behind such a wonderful initiative and support SA kids in need. The whole team at FIVEaa gets right behind this event and Variety as an organisation.”
