FM 104.7’s The Mob demobbed from breakfast in Canberra

Following the recent trend in on-air shake-ups, FM 104.7 in Canberra has decided to change its breakfast team.

The “exciting new changes” will take place to breakfast early next year as part of the station’s “continuing strategy to broaden its audience” in the national capital.

General Manager Eoghan O’Byrne has told radioinfo: “We have listened to feedback from our listeners and we aim to broaden our audience in Canberra.”

O’Byrne says the changes mean the current breakfast line-up, known as The Mob is being replaced, effective immediately.

The station will begin “a summer format” with various FM104.7 personalities until the new Breakfast team is launched.

“These exciting changes, which will be unveiled in the New Year, will give FM104.7 a great opportunity to heighten the station’s appeal to our Canberra audience,” says O’Byrne.

FM104.7 is a joint venture operation between the Australian Radio Network and Austereo.
