Fox throws Fifi the 21st she never had

Radio is often described as theatre of the mind and the other night, Fifi Box plus 300 Fox FM guests, stretched their imaginations to the limit to attend what was billed as her 21st birthday party.

The 90s themed bash held at Bobby McGee’s in Melbourne last night was headlined by Kylie Minogue, Fifi’s breakfast co-host Dave Thornton, boy band CDB and DJ John Course.

Having missed out on a party on her actual 21st birthday in 1998, Fifi was transported back to that year and showered with gifts, including an exclusive performance by Kylie Minogue, who sang Happy Birthday and performed her hot new single Sexy Love – see clip below.

Thornton also surprised his co-host and guests by busting out a fully choreographed dance routine with CDB, who brought the beat back with old school hits including Let’s Groove Tonight.

There was no shortage of plaid clad go-go dancers and 90s get-ups at the  event, with plenty of denim dungarees and butterfly clips taking over the dance floor while DJ John Course spun a collection old favourites.
