Free radio playout software released by Robot Software

Robot Software has released its latest offering in its free radio
Software Project Robot Voice Tracking PRO 2006.

Robot Software’s Sean Ison has told radioinfo:

“If you have been following our releases you will know that our first effort was ‘Robot
Commercial’ a few years ago which has been refined into a free software
package that combines Music, Advertising, promo automation; Voice Tracking
and Studio Live Announcing Assist all in one. The software is also
completely Australian made and owned.”

The software is free and works in two parts, playlist and playback. The company makes its money when users upgrade to professional versions of the software.

“We rely upon the upgrade to licensed play back modules by commercial stations who obviously
need more professional play back and access to the top end features. This
covers our development costs. Better modules work with the Main Interface
(the basic software) so we are providing it free Commercial stations can get used
to using it before purchasing a top end play back module license.

“We also like being able to support community radio with good quality free
software. The basic play back module (included) is just as good (if not
better) than a great many expensive products being constantly touted to
community stations in Australia” says Ison.

Robot Voice Tracking PRO modules are capable of all of the things most broadcasters
use currently, like satellite automation, automatic product update via the
internet and remote operation of up to 1000 network stations. It also has options for digital receiver displays and 5.1 sound output.
