For their first full week on the Adelaide airwaves KIIS 102.3’s Ben & Liam have really pushed the bus, bike, rollerblade and mobility scooter out for their first on air challenge, in an attempt to attend every single game of AFL Gather Round across South Australia this week.
The pair will jump straight into the chaos of a Gather Round-a-thon, navigating overlapping match times, tight turnarounds and some unpredictable and terrifying transport methods.
At each game, Ben & Liam must tick off a set of tasks before moving on to the next game; witness a goal, eat a pie, drink a Farmer’s Union Iced Coffee and finally, travel to the next match using a completely different mode of transport. No repeats allowed.
Kicking off Thursday night with Adelaide v Carlton, the duo will begin their journey by hitchhiking to Adelaide Oval, before it gets even more frantic across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

“We’ve done some ridiculous things before, but this might be the most ambitious yet. Nine games, three days, and absolutely no room for error.”
“It sounds simple on paper, but when you factor in travel, timing and everything we have to tick off at each game, it’s going to be chaos. That’s exactly why we’re doing it,” Liam added
Gather Round draws thousands of fans to South Australia. Listeners will be able to tune into the marathon of AFL Games live on KIIS 1023 as well as keep track of Ben & Liam.
