Geldorf and Liddy Charity Luncheon

People attending next week’s charity luncheon featuring Sir Bob Geldof and G. Gordon Liddy in Melbourne will be able to compete for some great auction prizes including a day at the AFL with Rex Hunt and the 3AW team and Sir Sidney Nolan’s Yellow Helmet chromolithograph.

For the sports fans there will be a Pele signed soccer ball and David Beckham signed England jersey on offer as well as a 1930 Sir Donald Bradman and Australian cricket team signed bat.

Other auction highlights will include: A boxed and framed Rolling Stones guitar autographed by the band; Number plates featuring radio stations like NOVA FM and AM –1377; A screen sirens photograph featuring headshots and autographs of Hollywood stars including Cameron Diaz, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, Alicia Silverstone and others; and other rare memorabilia.

The charity luncheon is part of the 2002 Commercial Radio Seminar to be held next Friday, 18 October at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre. All proceeds raised will go to the Here for Life Foundation, Australia’s major charitable foundation working in youth suicide prevention. 3AW’s Neil Mitchell will be Master of Ceremonies at the event.

The charity luncheon will be held in the Bellarine Hall, Melbourne Convention Centre starting at 12.30pm. Single tickets are available at $250 per person, a table of 10 is $2,200 and a VIP corporate table with either Sir Bob Geldof or G. Gordon Liddy is $10,000.
