From its beginnings as silly fun on Get This with Tony Martin, Ed Kavalee and Richard Marsland, Capril has become an annual, and important, event.
 
In honour of Richard Marsland who passed away in 2008, Capril now dares anyone to wear a cape in April while doing every day tasks to raise money for Beyond Blue: the national depression and anxiety initiative.
 
Angus McLaren now runs the initiative and encourages not just donations but photographic evidence of participants’ “cape-ers” to start a conversation about mental illness and remove stigma associated with it.
