When Dave Hughes was interviewed recently by Meshel, one of the new Nova 100 breakfast hosts, to promote his Melbourne Comedy Festival stand up show – the question that had to be asked came up.
 
Why did you leave radio? And the response was simple:
 
“I love comedy, and I love stand up. I have always been jealous of comedians who come on radio shows or TV shows I’ve been on just for a few minutes to promote their show. I’ve been jealous of those people for years.”
