There are two more GfK Radio 360 metro surveys due before 100 years of radio is celebrated at the 2023 Australian Commercial Radio Awards held in Sydney on October 14. Survey 5 will be released tomorrow, Survey 6, the week before the ACRAs.

Two of radio’s juggernauts, Sydney’s KIIS 1065’s Kyle and Jackie O and 3AW Melbourne’s Neil Mitchell, are the subject of movement speculation. Kyle and Jackie O to syndicate to Melbourne and/or return to SCA. Neil Mitchell towards retirement.

Talk stations like 3AW and Sydney’s 2GB continue to flourish, and now with the additional revenue streams of digital options. Music and entertainment stations are also competitive, especially now with DAB+ options in many vehicles. Never have we had more choice of what we might listen to, and how, and where.
