Glitzing them From L.A. to New York to Bathurst. – Audio Interview

Ever since Strictly Ballroom, Australia’s had a fascination with dancing – one that’s turned to gold for the Seven Network with Dancing With the Stars. Meanwhile, in the US, an Australian radio show called The Ballroom Glitz is wowing them on 170 stations every Saturday night.

The program’s presenter is an Australian, Ben Starr – a competition ballroom dancer from the age of seven and by 24, a 2CH announcer.

As the New York, New York song lyric suggests; if you can make it there you can make it anywhere – except, perhaps, in Australia – apart from 2BS, Bathurst.

As he celebrates twenty years in radio – at the youthful age of 33 – Ben talks with radioinfo’s Peter Saxon about how he got into this business in Australia and found success in America.
