Global Soundwave program goes National

DJ dance mix program, The Global Soundwave, has gone to air Australia wide on 170 community stations and on the internet.

Last week’s first program was heard simultaneously on Community Radio’s Comrad satellite network, and on the net in various audio stream formats (in a 24 low bit rate, a 120 sd 16 bit digital and a 160 higher definition 16 bit digital feed).

The Global Soundwave showcases DJs’ and producers’ perspectives from around the globe on their own personal music, “all driven together by one common passion, music.”

The global soundwave is a one hour continuous DJ mixed program, presented by Marc Taylor and Amanda Jermyn.

The program features: Mark Dynamix (Ministry of Sound, Sydney), DJ Archie (Wasabi Recordings, Sydney), Matt Darey (Euphoria/England), Alex Morph (Music&Artist/Germany), Moda (MostWanted/USA), Uranium (HotTrance.COM/USA), Marc Taylor (Unknown Quantity Recordings, Sydney), and many others.

The Global Soundwave Broadcasters Crew is led by Marc Taylor (Australia) and James Williams (US). Both have had both extensive dance music and broadcasting backgrounds.

Together, the two are heavily pursuing the dream of global “pure digital” global transmition.

James, The METHOD, is a well known DJ/Producer in California, and will maintain the program’s website until the business grows to have a sponsored server streaming 24 hours a day world wide via the internet.

Marc Taylor, who has grown up around Sydney clubs and bars, has held residence at Fox Studios and SOHO bar in Sydney, as well as having extensive dance radio experience. He presented breakfast for around five years on a Sydney community aspirant station, as well as being heavily involved in the implementation of Foxtel digital in Australia.

Amanda Jermyn has lived and breathed the entertainment industry since the age of three. She has been working as a performer since a very young age in venues all across Australia and in California. Her passion for music and performance has led her to collaborate with other artists, DJs and producers, working on her own sound.

Marc Taylor told radioinfo: “Ideally, the business plan is to expand our broadcasting capacity to a global broadcast via satellite, while we will be maintaining a website which will also eventually stream full time to back up our satellite transmition.

“We want to provide a new generation of music to a new generation of digital consumers, providing a platform for the entire market to be driven for the future.”
