Gold Coast’s 94.1FM invokes 4GG for Radiothon surfboard promotion

94.1FM positions itself as a community station setup to bring to the Gold Coast alternative programming targeting and entertaining the 50+ community.

But for this promotion it channels the old 4GG (now Triple M). Why not when the station’s line up includes a numer of former 4GG personalities such as Breakfast host Richard Fowler as well Rhonda Sharratt, Gary Boughen and Ian Cousins.

As part of their Radiothon this year the community broadcaster has come up with a brand-new competition with great and innovative prizes.

94.1FM teamed up with “QPuzzles” a local manufacturer of jigsaw puzzles to create their own limited edition 500-piece puzzle.

The puzzle is a picture of country/pop singer and 94.1FM presenter Anita Spring holding a John Nielsen replica surfboard.

The surfboard is a replica of Brazilian surf champion Felipe Toledo with the 94.1FM sun logo making it “one of a kind”.

Listeners can win or purchase a puzzle from www.941fm.com.au for a chance to win the surfboard.

Each puzzle is numbered from 1 – 100 and 5 lucky numbers will be drawn giving these 5 winners the chance to win the surfboard which can be used or displayed as a feature art decoration.

To win they’ll have to put the puzzle together, and the person that’s closest to completing the puzzle after 2 hours wins the surfboard. They can have 3 other people with them on the day as helpers.

The competition will take place at Grand Motors Toyota in Southport Saturday 31st July just before the station draws its major prize a “Grand Motors Toyota Yaris Cross” worth $30,993.

Other 94.1FM Radiothon prizes will also be drawn on the day including tickets to Rod Stewart in Melbourne, KISS in Brisbane and Keith Urban on the coast.

As the old saying goes, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
