Golf radio returns for Australian tournament

AO Radio will be broadcasting at this year’s Emirates Australian Open.

Crocmedia is exclusively producing 20 hours of live broadcast radio for Golf Australia available through thousands of free earpieces which will be issued at the PGA tournament.

Commentators including Mark Allen, Andy Maher, Mike Clayton and Mark Hayes will be back providing updates and analysis of the tournament supported by roving callers on the course.

John Sutherland, Golf Australia’s Digital and Communications Director said “Golf is one of those rare sports where fans can’t see everything that is going from a single vantage point. AO Radio is the eyes and ears for fans across all points of the golf course.”

Crocmedia CEO Craig Hutchison said the company was thrilled to be partnering with Golf Australia again this year.

“We’re really proud of this product and the reach it has for not only those on course but golfing enthusiasts right around the country. It’s also a great opportunity for us to show our versatility as a broadcaster,” Hutchison said.

Genesis Motors, the luxury division of Hyundai Motor Group, has also signed on as exclusive naming rights partner of AO radio.

The Emirates Australian Open runs from November 23rd to 26th at The Australian Golf Club in Sydney.  Fans unable to attend will be able to listen to AO Radio via the official tournament website www.golf.org.au or on the official tournament app.
