Google’s journalism emergency relief fund

Google has launched a Journalism Emergency Relief Fund to support small and medium-sized news organisations producing original journalism for local communities around the world in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
The funding is available for small to medium-sized news organisations producing original news for local communities, and can include for-profit or nonprofit traditional news organizations, digital natives, radio and/or TV broadcasters.
 
The funding is particularly targeted to newsrooms employing 2-100 full-time employees and eligible applicants need to have a focus on core news provision, must have a digital presence and have been in operation for at least 12 months.
 
Applications are open until April 29th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
