triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup

triple j is giving listeners a chance to collaborate with some of Australia’s music superstars with triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup

Music makers will get a one-off sample pack made by Australian superstars Flume, Tame Impala, Amy Shark, Tkay Maidza, Middle Kids, The Jungle Giants, Tash Sultana and G Flip.

The vocal samples, guitar loops, synth sounds, bass lines and drums, have been made by some of the country’s biggest artists specifically for this competition.

Remix them, rap or sing over them, turn those sounds into an original song, and upload the creation to triple j Unearthed.

As everyone’s at home in isolation, it’s changing the whole game when it comes to artist collaborations.

HOW TO ENTER:

  • Download triple j Unearthed’s DIY Supergroup sample pack from triplejunearthed.com
  • Create the masterpiece
  • Include samples from at least THREE (3) of the artists in the sample pack
  • Upload the track to the triple j Unearthed artist page by midnight AEST on Sun 17 May
  • Put #DIYSUPERGROUP in the title

Finalists will be announced on w/c 18 May on triple j Breakfast with Sally & Erica, then on w/c 25 May the winner will be announced and their song played on triple j and triple j Unearthed.
