Hit100.7’s Hamish Carter cycles in record breaking feat

Pedalling to conquer the Guinness World Record for the Longest Static Cycling Spin Class, Darling Downs’ Hit100.7 breakfast announcer Hamish Carter cycled over the weekend to support The Steve Waugh Foundation supporting children with rare diseases.

17 people, including his wife Robyn, joined Hamish at World Gym Toowoomba where the 27-hour record was broken.

A total of 30 gruelling hours was completed, with over $22,000 raised in support of the chosen charity.

Hamish says, “I always love a challenge and money for The Steve Waugh Foundation who give support to children with rare diseases…that’s the point I jumped straight in.

“The last three hours were the toughest…the muscles were sore, the chaffing was ridiculous and the sleep deprivation unbearable. But we got there, and I can’t wait to be able to sit down again, but that’s a different story.”
