Hit99.7 rules the Riverina – Xtra Insights Griffith

In up and down results for most stations, Hit99.7 Riverina MIA is the No 1 station in the latest Xtra Insights survey of Griffith NSW. Down 2.3 to 31.2 for all audiences 10+, Hit was still well ahead of SCA’s other station in the region, 963 Triple M Riverina MIA (17.5). In August last year Matty Wray moved from Hit mornings to Triple M breakfast and the live and local show has attracted listeners, up 1.5 to an 18.9% audience share, behind the networked from Newcastle Jess and Ducko (pictured, down 4.5 to 31.3) on Hit. The only day part that improved for Hit was Jasmin Chamberlain on mornings, Hit’s only local show, with Jasmin replacing Matty. Jasmin was up 2.1 to a 29.7% audience share.

Elsewhere the losses and gains were a mixed bag. ABC Riverina saw a 3.1 loss to a 9.0% audience share but with a strange 3% gain in 10-17 year olds and a 10.0 loss from over 65s. ABC Radio National saw the biggest growth overall, up 2.3 to 3.8% and doubling its audience with a nearly 6000 cumulative gain. Hit had a 19.0 drop off in 10-17 listeners, Triple M 15.4 in 55-64s and the ABC saw its evening listeners halve, turning over to RN. Triple M saw gains in all day parts and particularly evening and weekends, but surprisingly a small downturn in cumulative listening.

SCA Head of Regional Content, Blair Woodcock, said:

“We’re proud to see our regional markets continue to attract strong audiences, and Griffith has delivered again – securing the #1 and #2 positions in the first radio survey since 2022. Amidst population shifts and market changes, these results highlight the strength of our content, talent, and deep connection with the Griffith community.

These results reinforce the power of relevant and engaging content. We’re grateful to our listeners, advertisers, and local teams for their continued support.”
