Hitz 93.9FM booms in Bundy: Xtra Insights

ARN’s Hitz 93.9FM continues to blow away all competition in Bundaberg in the latest Xtra Insights survey with a 31.8 share of the audience 10+ (up 1.1). Closest behind is SCA’s Triple M 93.1 with 16.5, a drop of 1.4, 4BU was just ahead of ABC Wide Bay in third and fourth, with both also dropping market share.

The biggest movements were in evenings with Hitz up 7.8 to 29.9 and 4BU and Triple M down more than 5 points in the timeslot.

The Hitz 93.9 breakfast show of Matty & Trace (33.6, up 1.7) had almost double the listening audience of anyone else.

Of the results Corey Pitt, General Manager Hitz 93.9 and 4BU, said:

“I am so proud of the Bundaberg team and their commitment to our wonderful community.  These incredible audience results are a testament to the passion we have for our region and to the many thousands of listeners.”

And Billy McFerran, Hitz and 4BU Content Director added:

“I am so proud of the content team. They can celebrate a massive result with Bundy today. I can confirm Matty and Trace are off tomorrow, it’s a Bundy Thing!”

Hitz had a small growth on their cumulative audience, up 2 to an audience 10+ of 37600. Triple M Bundy picked up the most listeners with both 4BU, ABC Wide Bay and triple j losing a lot of ground (down 2200, 1800 and 1800 respectively).

The last survey of Bundaberg was two years ago, in June 2021.
