The on-air partnership of HO-FM’s Cooke & Moore is to conclude. Richard Moore will head-up the station’s new
breakfast show.
In a joint statement HO-FM’s General Manager Tracy Matthews, Bob
Cooke and Richard Moore confirmed that the duos’ current contract would not
be renewed and that the on-air partnership will conclude today (Friday 14 March).
The separation “brings to a close one of the most enduring on-air partnerships
in the broadcasting industry.
After a highly successful association spanning more than 20 years this is an evolutionary progression and reflects the ongoing development of HO-FM’s on-air programming.”
Matthews said, “I am delighted that
Richard Moore has agreed to remain as an integral part of the HO-FM team.
We’re very excited about the coming months and the plans we have for the
evolution of the breakfast show.”
Richard Moore will be taking a short break and will return in a couple of weeks to begin the new show.
Over the past few months HO-FM has been asking the people of Hobart what
they wanted from breakfast radio. “We are looking forward to giving Hobart listeners a new way to wake up,” said Matthews.
