When Hit100.9’s Jimmy & Nath challenged Formula 3 driver Alex Peroni to a race, he didn’t think it would be capped at 15km an hour…or on a granny scooter.
 
Racing cars on an international level before he had his regular licence, Peroni (19) is no stranger to a high intensity race as other than Daniel Ricciardo, Peroni, is the only Australian driving in either Formula 2 or 3 ranks and is expected to be our next Formula 1 star.
 
Training hard all week on his slow turns and racing lines, Jimmy is really excited to see where this race leads.

“I’m hoping it’s the start of my professional Granny Scooter Racing career,” he said.
 

 

Nath, on the other hand is just excited to get behind the wheel, “I’ve been pressuring my Grandmother for years to invest in a granny scooter… her walking stick just doesn’t have the street cred a scooter does.”
 
Hit100.9’s Jimmy & Nath are racing Alex Peroni on granny scooters at Hobart’s Baskerville Raceway at 11am toorrow, Thursday, 7 March 2019 and the results of the race will be heard on air the following day.
