Hottest 100 this weekend and new brand for triple j tv show

Triple J has lots to celebrate this week. The station is about to air its popular Hottest 100 Countdown this weekend (see link below), and its tv spinoff jtv is being relaunched to more accurately represent the ABC’s pioneering youth brand, and will now be known as triple j tv in 2008.

Whether it’s unearthing new talent, celebrating live music in the regions or bringing you the latest music, news and interviews from here and around the globe, triple j is a one-stop shop.

triple j is no longer just a radio station. It’s a portal to all the music, comedy and current affairs that Australia’s youth can handle. In 2008, triple j and its crop of presenters and guests will continue to bring you the best content to watch, listen, to read and download… under the new name triple j tv.

Popular program
triple j tv with The Doctor
will air Saturdays 9am-10am on ABC TV and is repeated Sundays at 10.30am on ABC2.

And the triple j tv show starts Monday February 11 at 8.30pm on ABC2,
repeated Friday night (after Lateline) on ABC TV. Hosted each week by a rotating cast of triple j presenters, the half-hour show sees the return of some of our most popular segments including ‘Like A Version’ (where artists perform a cover version of their favourite song) and ‘Prime Cuts’ (outtakes, bloopers and all the funny bits from the past week). Also, Ronan Sharkey makes the leap from radio to television to become the new face of ‘Hack’, your weekly fix that puts the ‘j’ in journalism.
