How Green was my Cactus team celebrates 20 years and another award

There were celebrations at Top Spots Digital studios this week marking the 20th anniversary of How Green was My Cactus, and another award for the series.

The long running comedy program won the Australian Writers’ Guild AWGIE Award for Comedy (Sketch and Light Entertainment). The award category covers not only radio, but all media and is the fifth time Cactus has won this much coveted award.

Over the years, Cactus has also taken out four RAWARDS/ACRA Awards for Best Syndicated Program and is again a finalist in this years ACRAs which will be announced in October.

Grace Gibson Productions’ Bruce Ferrier says it is “proof indeed that Cactus still has all the prescient wit and cut-through humour for which it is so rightfully famous.”
