Hughesy, Kate & Dave’s Sunday Networking + Kidman Part 2

Nova 100 Melbourne’s Hughesy, Kate and Dave will extend their ‘Sunday Sleep In’ to Sydney, Adelaide and Perth from this weekend.

And, the Melbourne breakfast crew will eventually be heard further north when Nova in Brisbane launches.

The trio, described as “… a few hangers on whose lives are perhaps a little more tragic than yours …”, are best known for “… delighting Melbourne with highbrow tales, including the time Kate wee-ed in a saucepan in a caravan. Or, perhaps, while you’re having flashbacks of crashing and burning on the dancefloor from the night before, you can console yourself by hearing what happened when Hughesy took Viagra, or the time Dave was banned from a mothers’ group!”

Dave Hughes hosted The Logies this year and can be seen each Friday night on ABC’s ‘The Glasshouse’. Kate Langbroek, famous for breastfeeding on live tv, is one of the original members of ‘The Panel’, and continues her involvement on Wednesday nights.

Dave O’Neill is a comedian, well known for his appearances on ‘Rove Live’, ‘The Fat’ and The Panel. He has also appeared in several Australian films including ‘The Nugget’ and ‘Take Away’, which he also co-wrote.

Meanwhile, over at Nova 969 in Sydney, Nicole Kidman throws caution to the wind this morning in part two of her intimate and exclusive yarn to Merrick and Rosso.

Earlier this week, Kidman revealed aspects of herself, not normally expected, talking about life as a single mum, what she misses about Sydney, how she feels about the paparazzi and her very close relationship with her family.

Today, the reluctant star confesses she does not like watching any of her own movies: “I never see them. I’m not good at judging any of the stuff I’m in. It’s about being uncomfortable watching yourself.”

As well as her squeamishness with fame, the star of the new movie, ‘The Stepford Wives’ talks about why Anthony Robins was important to the development of her latest character, as well as revealing just how close she is to her family, especially sister, Antonia, whose opinion she cannot live without.

“My sister visited me on set and the director and the crew told us we looked identical. We’re almost like twins – we talk everyday. It’s nice to have a sister you can also call your best friend.”

The full interview will be broadcast nationally tomorrow across the DMG network.
