Hunter Valley Broadcast for John Laws & Rising Star

2UE morning presenter, John Laws, will broadcast his national program today from the Hunter Valley Gardens to celebrate the first anniversary of its opening.

Lawsie will be joined by the winner of his Rising Star competition, Anthony Snape of Gunnedah, who will perform ‘live’.

Over the past six weeks, Laws received thousands of entries from aspiring musicians. Snape has emerged as the listeners’ favourite performer. He is 25 and performs in a band called ‘Crash Avenue’.

Representatives of Sony Music and Hamilton Island will award the Rising Star with their respective prizes during the broadcast.

As well as the festivities of the day, there will be many prizes to be won including a Qantas holiday to Cairns, weekend retreats to the Hunter Valley and wine from Tempus 2.

Jennifer Stackhouse, 2UE’s gardening expert, will provide commentary on the gardens after Lawsie’s program, while Ella James and Mike Williams of 2UE Weekends will also be there.

The Hunter Valley Gardens are in Broke Road, Pokolbin.
