Australia’s first iHeartRadio Festival has been cancelled.
It was scheduled for Sydney’s Allphones Arena on Saturday October 18, with more than six hours of back-to-back live music and DJ sets.
Australian Radio Network and Dainty Group today issued a short statement saying “the upcoming iHeartRadio Australia Music Festival has been cancelled.”
“This is as a consequence of the unavailability of another headline act, who was due to be announced this week.”
Ticket holders will be contacted by Ticketek.
An ARN spokesperson has told radioinfo: “Our objective for this first iHeartRadio Australia Music Festival was to create the very best experience possible for music lovers, and when this wasn’t possible, the difficult but necessary decision was made to cancel.”
It is not known at this stage whether other iHeartRadio festivals are planned in future.
