Izzy to join Baz for breakfast on SENZ

Sports Entertainment Network have appointed former All Blacks star Israel Dagg to co-host the new breakfast radio programme, Baz and Izzy for Breakfast on the soon to be launched SENZ.

World Cup winner Dagg will join New Zealand test cricket legend Brendon McCullum, bringing local sports fans all the breaking sports stories, news and opinion, weekday mornings from 6am – 9am on SENZ.

Dagg made his name as the first secondary school student to play provincial rugby for Hawke’s Bay in 2006 and went on to play 66 tests for the All Blacks between 2010 and 2017.

He says he could not be more pumped to be joining the SENZ on-air team, “These opportunities don’t come around very often and working alongside a legend and all-around good bloke like Baz was something I couldn’t pass up!”

Louis Herman-Watt will produce the new show with his years of experience working both on-air and behind the scenes making him the perfect person to cultivate and build an identity for the new show.

McCullum’s fearless nature coupled with Dagg’s witty and insightful commentary makes this new sports radio duo an exciting addition for the soon to be launched SENZ.

Acting CEO, Jodie Simm, is delighted to have signed two of New Zealand’s most well-known and loved sports identities to fill the popular breakfast slot, and says, “Baz and Izzy have such a vast range of sporting knowledge. They can provide different viewpoints due to their own career experiences and can get inside the mind of both the player and coach, as well as diehard sports fans. I have no doubt they will provide riveting content for listeners each morning.”
