Jason Matthews in a rush to get back on the radio on the Gold Coast

Many things have changed at the Gold Coast media centre since Jason Matthews resigned as PD from the duopoly in 2009. For a start there’s somebody else, Andrew Very, doing his old job. And the company was then owned by Macquarie Southern Cross. Plus, current owners Southern Cross Austereo have since built flash new studios at Broadbeach.

But after driving daily from his home on the Gold Coast to work at Brisbane’s Triple M, Jason can now can get to the studio in a matter of minutes instead of hours as he’ll be back at Gold FM, on air with a new weekday show.

From 3pm – 5pm weekdays, The Rush Hour with Jason Matthews (left) promises to “keep Gold Coast listeners one step ahead of the curve, covering the biggest and best stories of the day and what they’ll be talking about tomorrow.”

Gold FM’s Content Director Andrew Very said, “Gold FM is “Everything Gold Coast” and we’re committed to living that up even more with an afternoon show covering the big talking points of the day, and a stable of credible guests joining Jason Matthews.”

The One Percenters with Matt Tilley and Joe Hildebrand will start an hour later and run from 5 – 7pm weekdays, followed by the Greatest Hits Countaround.
