Mornings host Jason Matthews will take over Breakfast from next week on Brisbane’s 4BC in a major reshuffle of the struggling Tapt Media talk station.

Jason replaces Dean Miller and Sofie Formica, who slid to a lowly 3.2 share in GfK Survey 4.

Gary Hardgrave moves into Mornings, while Drive then is taken over by Carla Bignasca.

Michael McLaren will be networked from 2GB in Carla’s former Afternoons shift. Step Outside with Paul Burt will be replaced by The Garden Clinic from Sydney’s 2GB.

Carla announced the changes on behalf of 4BC Station Manager, Siobhain Ryan on air this afternoon.

The on air statement:

“Here at 4BC, we are making some temporary changes to the on-air announcer lineup for the rest of the year, keeping familiar voices on air and continuing to deliver for you, our listeners.

From Monday, Jason Matthews will be hosting the Breakfast show, Gary Hardgrave will be hosting the Mornings program and Carla will be taking over 4BC Drive. We’re delighted to welcome back a familiar voice to the station in Michael McLaren, who has previously hosted overnights and weekends on 4BC, he will be taking over Afternoons on the station. On weekends, we’re happy to also welcome back The Garden Clinic.

This does mean we are saying goodbye to some of our on air announcers, including Dean and Sofie. As a station, we want to thank them for their tireless dedication to 4BC and to the listeners.
