Australian radio hall of famer Jeremy Cordeaux told FIVEaa afternoons listeners on Friday that he would be leaving the station.
“Let me tell you about something important…” Jeremy said.
“The radio station here, FIVEaa and I, have decided to part company. And let me tell you right up front: no bad feelings, no bad blood — we go on the best of terms.
“I’ve been in this business 50 years now, and these people here are the best you could find.
“I’ve been very lucky to have had very good, very long term relationships with the stations I’ve been with.. it’s been a wonderful journey, and it ain’t over yet. I have this ambitious gene…”
Jeremy said he had been offered another program on FIVEaa — “but that would mean that I would take somebody else’s job and I just couldn’t do that,” he said.
“Frankly, I am better able not to have a job than most. So I’ve decided to go.”
Craig Munn, FIVEaa Program Director said, “FIVEaa are extremely grateful for Jeremy’s time with us and the relationship he has developed with listeners and clients. We wish Jeremy all the very best and look forward to him continuing to be a friend of the station.”
