KIIS 101.1’s daytime announcer Joel Gelding  is to become the senior producer for Will & Woody’s National Drive show.

Joel announced the move via his Instagram, the day after his 32nd birtday.

“Thanks so much for all the birthday messages yesterday! Felt the love big time! Turning 32 isn’t scary at all. I love the sound of it. Maybe it’s me finally embracing my grey chin hairs. Or maybe it’s about everything 2019 will bring. New age. New baby!! And… a new job!

“Extremely excited to announce after fourteen years of talking into a microphone, I’ll be stepping behind the scenes. I have accepted the position as Senior Producer for our national drive show with Will & Woody. These guys are bloody hilarious and I can’t wait to work with them. Thanks to all the amazing people who helped get me to this point in my career. So pumped for the new opportunities in the future and the chance to develop my skills with an incredible team of people. Bring it on!”
