John Paige has been appointed STEREO 974 Station Manager after an exhaustive recruitment campaign. According to General Manager Rod Boyd, “this step has been taken to ensure the future of STEREO 974, and fits well with the long term succession planning for the station”.

Paige has broad experience across the media industry, including senior roles in radio broadcasting, television, and voice-overs.

“John’s career spans over two decades with 15 years as an on air broadcaster with many radio stations across the east coast. He has hosted NBN TVs Friday night program Mystery and Imagination Theatre introducing Horror movies, and was the weather man live to air each night on Southern Cross Network TVs National News,” said Boyd.

John played ‘Craig Peeters’ a radio announcer ‘wannabe’ on ABC Radio National’s political satire, ‘Don’t get of ya Bike’, which was broadcast live. He was also the voice behind Network 10s “The Comedy Company”.
